Ask me something, and I’ll do my best to answer it. This offer expires with the next post I put up.
You've stumbled across my official website and landed on the front page of my weblog.
My name is Rosina Lippi. I'm a former academic and tenured university professor, writing full time since 2000. Under the pen name Sara Donati I am the author of the Wilderness series, six historical novels that follow the fortunes of a group of families living in upstate New York from about 1792-1825. A new series based on later generations of the same families was launched September 1, 2015 with The Gilded Hour. The next volume in the new series, Where the Light Enters, was released in 2019.

Wise Guys
If you are in difficulties with a book, try the element of surprise: attack it at an hour when it isn’t expecting it.
— H.G. Wells (attributed), Sir Osbert Sitwell

Favorite childhood memory of autumn?
Will you write another historical series when the Wilderness books are complete? Perhaps a different time or place? If so which time and/or place would you choose?
Michelle, I’m sorry to say that I really, really dislike this time of year and have not one good memory to share. Except I was always glad to go back to school. Does that count?
Lelia — I’ll answer this in a post.
What kind of car do you drive?
I drive a four year old Honda. It’s dark red.
What is your favorite type of chocolate?
That’s an easy one: Gianduja. Very rich, half chocolate and half hazelnut paste. Marzipan is almond paste, so that should give you an idea of what I mean by hazelnut paste.
